The Future of Data Centre Cooling Is Liquid, Not Air — Is India’s Supply Chain Ready?
Purpose of Static Balancing in Liquid Cooling
As data centers move toward higher rack densities and liquid-cooling architectures, correct hydraulic distribution becomes essential. STILONN Static (Manual) Balancing Valves are designed to establish and maintain the required design flow through individual branches of chilled-water and glycol-water systems.
The valve is manually preset using its calibrated setting scale. Differential-pressure measuring nipples allow commissioning engineers to measure pressure drop across the valve and confirm the corresponding flow. Once the required design condition is achieved, the setting can be locked to reduce accidental adjustment during operation.
How the valve is commissioned
- Set the valve initially to the calculated preset position.
- Connect a digital balancing instrument to the upstream and downstream measuring nipples.
- Measure differential pressure and verify flow using the applicable Kv/flow data.
- Fine-tune the handwheel setting until the required design flow is reached.
- Lock the preset position and record the final commissioning value.
Why It Matters in Data Centers
A liquid-cooling network contains many parallel branches, heat exchangers, CDUs and equipment circuits. Without proper balancing, low-resistance branches can receive excess flow while remote or higher-resistance branches receive less than their design requirement. Static balancing provides a practical means of commissioning the system so each branch receives the intended flow under the established design condition.

STILONN Supply & Stock Commitment
STILONN is supplying more than 300 static balancing valves per month, and this quantity is increasing with the growth of data-center and HVAC cooling projects. To support urgent project execution and replacement needs, we maintain a minimum stock of approximately 200 pieces at our factories, subject to size and configuration availability.
This inventory strategy helps reduce lead time for standard requirements and supports customers during installation, testing, commissioning and project ramp-up.
Faster Support from Navi Mumbai
Our Navi Mumbai operation provides quick commercial, technical and service coordination for projects across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and nearby industrial regions. STILONN also maintains a separate service team for on-call customer support, site troubleshooting, product inspection and commissioning assistance.
